There area blogs and the there are blogs. Teachpaperless has had a profound influence on how I view and approach teaching, learning, students, and the future of public education (or life-long learning for that matter!). My favourite edublog every year!
Electronic Resources: Your Best Bet (or Google is actually overrated…)
This is what I've wanted to tell staff and students at LVR for the past two year, but couldn't find an effective means. Could this be it:Please feel free to see me for help using and navigating these resources for you and your classes (but basically, if you can use Google you can use a … Continue reading Electronic Resources: Your Best Bet (or Google is actually overrated…)
Hardagon’s Latest White Paper: The Future of Educational Networks
Facebook is for personal. Educational (nee social) networks are for professional use. Effective January 2010, the LVR Library Media Centre will adopt (or at least attempt) a four week trial promoting a 'Leave No Trace' food campaign. The rationale...Why fight it? It happens everyday and students will do it whether … Continue reading ‘LEAVE NO TRACE’ OF FOOD CAMPAIGN IN THE LIBRARY
CANADA READS 2010
Canada Reads 2010. The list of books and those Canadian figures defending. Good to see Wayson Choy back in there. Always get excited about this. But I have one looming question. I just can't figure out why Gian Ghomeshi bugs me so much? Anyone else suffer from the same syndrome? Ghomeshitis...I think it's called?
