Thanks to all the staff and colleagues that wrote and offered words of wisdom. I think that the problem with offering a ‘Leave No Trace’ zone is the same problem with ‘Leave No Trace’ while in a natural setting. Not everyone will adhere to this. Some will be looking for a place just to eat their lunch, not a students busily working that requires a moment to refuel. There are already plenty of public areas to convene and enjoy the company of peers while consuming their lunch.
Verdict?
Me thinks ‘NOT’.
