Recently, I was invited by my dear friend and father of two, Matthew Sloane, founder of the Fatherhood Dojo Podcast, to have two different (and related) conversations about fatherhood and the relationships inform, and greatly influence, how fathers show up for their children, their partners, and themselves.
Our first conversation, courtesy of the Rad Dad Collective can be found on Spotify, and focuses on fostering and nurturing strong bonds with our children by simply asking ourselves four simple questions. Matthew and I share intimate learning challenges and rumble with the most authentic and integral ways to lean into raising little ones.
Our heartfelt second conversation explores the natural rhythms (from blissful to challenging and everything in between) that are essential parts of a thriving marriage relationship; and how our children inevitably and invariably exert, usually unintentionally, influences on its health, wellbeing, and possible longevity.
I am truly grateful for, and appreciative of, Matthew’s heart-led work supporting fathers with young children (under 12 years). If you are a young father struggling (as we all do!), please consider reaching out to Matthew. He is an amazingly resourceful and supportive dad who is nothing but honest and genuine about his challenges of fatherhood. Please check out Matthew’s amazing work and his fabulous blog at Fatherhood Dojo.
Yours in fatherhood,
JY
