School Libraries and Advocacy

Founder of Library Research Services, Keith Curry Lance, shares the importance of advocacy at the school and school district levels, including parent based grassroots movements. Maybe it’s time for teacher-librarians and school library advocates to get involved with protecting these invaluable resources.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to have a vocal and vociferous parent group like the Spokane Moms to advocate for the importance of school libraries and libraries at both the local and provincial levels? 
Indeed, the BCTLA must be committed to exploring various avenues including parent support groups and the educational administration instructor realm where access to administrators and decision-makers are most fertile.
