On Wednesday, April 22nd, LVR welcomed the BC Book Prizes Authors’ Visit. Fifty students were treated to readings by two of BC’s best authors: Andreas Schroeder and Rex Weyler. Both are accomplished journalists and writers, and have been nominated by the BC Book Prizes for their works in fiction and non-fiction, respectively. Each author took turns speaking about writing and journalism, their influences, and shared some personal stories. They then read a passage from one of their older published works. Lastly, they answered insightful questions from the students. Click on the video below for a brief slideshow of the afternoon’s events. Thanks to the staff and students that attended the event.
