The Canadian Library Association (CLA) has announced the winners of two of its most prestigious awards for young adult literature of 2009. The winner of the ‘Young Adult Canadian’ award is Chandra’s Wars by Allan Stratton. The winner of the ‘Book of the Year for Children’ is The Shepherd’s Grand-Daughter by Anne Laurel Carter.
