Boyden Wins 2008 Scotiabank Giller Prize

Author Joseph Boyden has won the 2008 Scotiabank Giller Prize for best Canadian novel or short story collection for his book, Through Black Spruce. The Giller is the largest annual prize for literature in Canada–the winner receives $50 000, while the finalists each garner a prize of $5000. Boyden is also the author of the critically acclaimed Three Day Road. We expect to have a copy of Through Black Spruce to arrive in the library in early January.
